Infographics tell complex stories simply

Distilling large amounts of information or simplifyng complex processes into understandable "at-a-glance" graphics are always welcome design challenges! In this example we created a number of infographics for this interactive 36-page B.C. Ministry of Forests publication.

Government Communications

Rocket Science understands the demands of government communication projects, from multiple revision cycles to extremely short deadlines!

For example, we were intimately involved in the six-year communication process required for the Province of British Columbia's recently legislated Sustainable Water Act. Our first collaboration on the project, pictured above, included a 96-page document explaining the value of water and the way it is used in the province. The document incorporated hundreds of suggestions of what might be included in a new Water Act. Over the years we created a number of companion documents to help move the discussion towards legislation.

The very short deadline design and production of a 120-page public overview document preceeded the introduction of the proposed legislation's in the BC Legislature.
Catalogues

Waterford Press is an American nature guide publisher with hundreds of titles. They distribute throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. Upon repatriating printing to the U.S. from Asia, the publisher wanted to get their new "made in America" strategy across to their domestic market. The re-designed 40-page interactive catalogue pictured above highlights their change in production strategy and has contributed to increased sales over six quarters.
